Latest Top 5 Hottest Rappers In Nigeria For 2015 / 2016

Naija360ng has taken sometime to rate and list Nigeria’s most influential rappers as of 2015. The listings were rated according to the level of influence each rapper has in the music industry and Nigeria as a whole. This list wasn’t judged based on the fame or money a rapper has but their influence in someway or the other.
The no.1 person on the list is to be considered to be the most Influential rapper in Nigeria 2015.

1. OBAFLOW

This dude has to be tested for rap steroids cos dude was just jumping on every track there was at the beginning of 2015 / 2016 building up anticipation for his album and as if all that hype wasn’t enough, he also released a Single Title  EFIMILE that got G reviews. Incredible year for Obaflow.

2. Olamide

First of all, this dude needs no re-introduction. Dude had an exceptional year with a sophomore album that did waay better than his first effort. He also had the streets on lock with numerous catchy singles.

3.  Reminisce

Vector vector Even though Vector hasn’t released any project in the past year, he’s still been very visible and active releasing a number of dope tracks, the most prominent being King Kong. Vector went ahead to release 3 remixes to the song featuring the likes of Sarkodie, Phyno, Reminisce and Classiq. Vector’s flow is probably his most attractive attribute, with an ability to switch from english to pidgin to yoruba all in one verse. Other dope tracks from Tha Viper include, Kanawan Dabo, and his super nice freestyle, Freestyle Vee. Add the slew of features he’s been on, and it’s been a pretty decent year for Vector, albeit not the hottest

Dude had a highly publicized beef with Vector which I still believe was just a ruse to boost their album sales. He had a below par album but he impressed on every single feature he was on.

4.Phyno

Mr Nelson really brought the heat this year. The beast from the east really put Igbo rap on the forefront this year. Nigga Raw, MC Loph, Big Lo & 2shotz have all done the igbo rap thing but Phyno made it sound cool. “Ghostmode”, “can’t you see” and “shutdown” are examples of his good work this year.

5.MI

To say the truth, I’d lost faith in this dude after MI2 but he had a very good year with his mixtape showing everyone that the short one can still kick it. He killed features and his song for the Aluu victims was on some poetic shii.
