Today, we will be profiling  a freshly fired up young artiste, who in a short while has managed to garner thousands of fans/followers and getting major support from several Nigerian music heavyweights to include his boss, Sony Music Act, Davido.
With the release of his debut single ‘Eleko‘ which made a strong case for this somewhat calm yet musically crazed young man to be on the lips, phones and homes of millions of people both home and abroad, We present to you our emerging artiste of the month, Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel, popularly and fondly known as Mayorkun.

Relying majorly on his floaty vocal signature and addictive melodic sway and sound, he made certain that his hi-fi hookup kinda song is a must have for people everywhere. This synth-driven piece, which substantially made him a  force to reckon with amongst his peers, is a testament as to how much he has up his sleeve.Everyone we know, was and is still hooked on the song.  ‘Ori Iyami Eleko‘ that line became like the most sung line by both the white and blue collared people out there, it literally became like a mood starter for any turnt up scenario. This synth-driven Afro – fusion material not only makes you confidently hyper, the same energy also makes you want to lay somewhere and just enjoy the sound coming out of your boom box or head phones. He with this ability earned himself the title of the Chill house scene.

• Eleko, which was released on April 17, 2016, at the moment has over 2million views on Youtube. The same record hit a million views in just 10 days. Despite several allegations of view being bought, am sure positive reviews and the very song itself on everyone’s lips is a huge testament of how talented he is.
• On April 19, Eleko clinched the number 1 spot on itunes, surpassing Drake’s hit, One Dance featuring Wizkid and Kayla.
• Eleko has spent 5 weeks and counting on Top 10 Nigerian itunes Chart. Same platform he is seriously trending and is even atop international superstar, Lil Wayne.
• He is also topping several Radio/TV station charts in less than 2 months of dropping his hit single, Eleko.
